Bringing Farmers, Small Businesses, and Local Families Together
Lamb Club Australia, the brainchild of local Mallee farmers Clay Gowers and Tegan Buckley, has officially launched—and it’s all about connecting regional lamb producers directly with local families, making sure everyone gets to enjoy ethically raised, farm-fresh lamb right from our own backyard.
For Clay and Tegan, this isn’t just business. It’s a passion project driven by a desire to support fellow sheep farmers while helping more families get quality lamb back on their dinner tables.
They saw an opportunity to offer Aussie lamb producers a direct way to reach consumers while giving local families more affordable access to quality meat—straight from the paddock to their plates.
“What we’re really excited about is building a community that values not just the food on the table, but the people behind it. It’s about supporting each other and bringing a little bit of the farm gate into family homes,” said Tegan and Clay, the co-founders of Lamb Club Australia.
Partnering with award-winning butcher Seth James-Reed from J-R Family Butchers, based in Irymple Hub, the Lamb Club team ensures every lamb is expertly butchered and boxed up fresh for families to enjoy. With the backing of local abattoirs, Mildura Meat Co., this partnership is all about keeping things local, sustainable, and community-focused.
Seth shares the same vision, “we’re proud to be working with our local farmers, helping families access high-quality lamb cuts while supporting the farming community that keeps our region thriving,” said Seth James-Reed, J-R Family Butchers.
Lamb Club offers both one-time orders and subscription options for their signature Lamb Boxes. Each box contains a whole lamb, expertly cut and packaged into roasts, racks, chops, shanks, mince, and more—everything a family needs for delicious, home-cooked meals.
“We’re also incredibly grateful for the support of our first farmers who helped supply our customers with the first Lamb Club run of lambs to launch in October 2024, Donna and Darren Buckley, and our very first customer, Evan Pitt from Gol Gol, NSW! Thank you for being part of the journey with us,” added Tegan and Clay.
